Access Bank Plc, in conjunction with Xploits Consulting Ltd, has provided digital skills to 136 people in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of Abuja and Kogi State.
The two-day digital acquisition initiative took held in the FCT’s Bwari and Kuje area councils, as well as Lokoja in Kogi State’s Kabba local government.
According to Mrs Grace Taiwo, the director of communication, 28 people from Bwari area council and 20 from Kuje area council in the FCT were trained, while 48 people from Lokoja and 41 from Kabba were trained in Kogi State. The total number of people who were trained was 136.
According to the statement, Dr Tayo Taiwo, the principal partner of Xploits Consulting Ltd, who was represented by Mrs Grace Taiwo, the director of communication, urged them to pay close attention during the training because the world has become a global village, making a digital skill a “must have” in Nigeria and the world at large.
He also urged students to look at the financial aspects of digital talents, such as digital marketing and site design.
Computer literacy, email communication, Internet safety and responsibility, MS word, MS powerpoint, social media marketing, and website design were all taught to the attendees.
Miss Ojonugwa Jibrin, speaking on behalf of the participants, thanked Access Bank Plc for the wonderful opportunity to learn and promised to put what she had learned to good use.
Mr Gideon Oche, another participant, expressed his excitement by saying that he had wanted to gain this information but couldn’t owing to financial restrictions, but thanks to Access Bank Plc and Xploits Consulting Ltd, he was able to get it for free.
