Mr Arasomwan is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN) and corporate executive with over 25 years professional experience with in-depth business knowledge and hands-on experience. He graduated from University of Lagos with a B.Sc. Finance and M.Sc. Finance (Distinction) as best graduating student in both instances. He was also a recipient of the prestigious University of Lagos, Vice Chancellor Award, Zenith International Bank Award, Nigerian American bank Award, Authur Andersen Scholars Merit Award, the Federal Government Scholarship (Postgraduate Studies) among many others.He trained with Deloitte. While at Deloitte, he serviced various companies ranging from manufacturing to banking and other services industries. In a bid to gain industry experience, he joined Addax Petroleum as Budget and Tax Controller. He will later move on to join the Norwegian energy giant Equinor where he managed the Agbami production project as the commercial and tax lead. Prior to his appointment as GM Risk and Internal Audit at Firstcentral Credit Bureau, he served in similar capacity as the Chief Internal Auditor (CIA) for Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) where he spearheaded a number of business restructuring efforts. He was also involved in process improvement and optimization, in addition to a number of corporate governance initiatives. Prior to that, he was appointed as Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a major conglomerate with significant interest in the Construction material manufacturing and hospitality industries; where he was responsible for managing the interests of 5 Nigerian first-tier banks – Zenith, Access, UBA, GTB and First banks. As an astute business consultant, Owen has served at different times as Senior Partner/Director in BVS Professional Services, Manifold Heights Consulting, ZPT UK etc. In these consulting roles, he has supported a number of business turnaround efforts, optimization projects through process improvements and technology etc. He has also been part of a number of public sector projects both at the Federal and State levels. He has also led a number of public and private sectors strategic leadership retreat sessions. He is also a director at the M-Innovation Center, an educational/innovation center that provide business incubation and business start-ups services. With his background in the energy industry, he has also supported a number of indigenous Oil and Gas and energy companies with project evaluation, license bidding and other regulatory certifications. He has also served as an adjunct lecturer for the Masters in Development Finance at the University of Lagos.
