George Ahiafor

George is the Managing Director of XDS Data-Ghana as well as the Chief Executive Officer of Debenture Trust Company Limited. He has over twenty years experience in Banking in the United States and Africa. He was the Area Manager for Treasury Operations at Standard Chartered Bank, Ghana responsible for the West Africa region from 1999 through 2003.

George served on the team to implement the Bank of Ghana payment systems, a clearing system now in operation among the Banks. He was also a member of the project team responsible for coming up with a framework for the implementation of the West African Payment Systems.

In the US, George worked severally in New York with Rabobank International, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Union Bank of Switzerland, as well as Republic National Bank.

A product of the State University of New York Maritime College, a military institution in New York, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in management, George holds several professional certificates in Capital Markets, Derivatives, Management, and a Third Officers license.
